Timothy Youngblood is formerly the Senior Vice President, Chief Security Officer, and Product Security Officer for T-Mobile, Inc leading the company’s cybersecurity organization. Timothy responsibilities included overseeing digital security, risk management, and product security. Timothy drove the strategic cybersecurity direction for T-Mobile.
Before T-Mobile, Timothy was the Chief Information Security Officer for McDonald’s Corporation. He led securing the companies digital platforms for 65 million visitors a day across
38,000 restaurant locations globally.
Timothy established the CISO roles for two major industry brands being the first global CISO’s for Dell, Inc and Kimberly Clark Corporation. Timothy aligned the security strategy to business objectives and continuously reported progress to the Board of Directors. He has also worked in leadership roles at
KPMG LLP, providing advisory services to industry-leading companies.
Timothy has received several industry awards and is inducted into the CSO Hall of Fame, IDC. and is a recognized Evanta top ten CISO leader and 100 top global CISO’s in the industry.
Timothy has served on several supporting board councils, including St. Jude Hospital/ALSAC Technology Advisory Council. Timothy works with several venture capital groups that focus on cybersecurity, such as Glilot Capital Partners (Worlds Top Venture Cybersecurity Fund) Board of Experts, CyberStarts, .406 Ventures, and Insight Partners.
Timothy recently sat on the public board for Sumo Logic, Inc. Worked closely with management to assess short-term and long-term strategy. As a board member he helped manage successful acquisition of Sumo Logic to Francisco Partners investment firm.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from Florida A&M University and a Master Degree in Science and Technology Commercialization from the University of Texas at Austin. Timothy is currently enrolled in a professional education program with MIT working with their top faculty and leaders from around the world focused on leadership, product development, design, and engineering as part of the Chief Product Officer cohort.
