As a Sr. Director of Information Security at CalOptima, I oversee the administration, support, and protection of the IT infrastructure and data for one of the largest county organized health systems in the United States. With over 25 years of experience in the IT security field, I have developed and implemented strategic long-range goals and direction for all IT security areas, managed and operated the global incident management program, and established a security operation with various tools and frameworks. I have also spearheaded the security requirements for clients and manufacturing equipment in my previous roles as a CISO and a VP of Operations and IT at Benchmark, a leading provider of engineering, design, and manufacturing services.

My core competencies include cybersecurity incident management and response, security strategy and policy development, security operations and tools, and process improvement. I hold several credentials, such as Security +, CISSP, CCISO, and a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity from Harvard Extension School. I am passionate about keeping businesses viable and secure in the face of evolving threats and challenges. I am also a strong leader and communicator who values collaboration, trust, and respect.
