Dan has over 15 years of experience in national security and risk management. As the Principal for Cyber Security Risk Consulting of Zurich Resilience Solutions Canada (ZRS), Dan is responsible for supporting ZRS’s clients in making risk-based cybersecurity decisions to improve their overall organizational resilience. He brings a unique perspective to cyber risk, having spent six years as an Intelligence Officer with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) with a view on international threat actors and the potential impact they pose to Canadian businesses and critical infrastructure. Prior to that, Dan spent nearly a decade in law enforcement and intelligence, investigating multinational criminal organization both online and in-person. Dan is trained in multiple cyber risk management frameworks and holds specialized expertise in the fields of stakeholder management and the strategic program design. Dan works with clients at all levels to build strategic roadmaps to improve an organization’s cyber security maturity and overall risk posture.

Dan is an Associate Member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS), holding the designation of Risk Fellow (RF) and is a Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP and CRM). Dan is a contributing member to ISACA and holds accreditation as Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC). Dan holds multiple certifications with the Project Management Institute (PMP and PMI-RMP) and is a contributing member of the International Cyber Leadership Institute.
