At FutureCon CyberSecurity Events a few weeks ago, I listened to a panel discussion where Frank DePaola shared an idea that I just can’t shake.

I often talk about cybersecurity as a business enabler, shifting the narrative from blocker to partner. I think that shift is critical, but what if we can take it a step further?

What if cybersecurity is not just an enabler, but part of the fabric of the business itself, woven into strategy, culture, and daily decision-making. Not something bolted on, but something built in.

When cyber becomes part of our DNA:
🌟 Innovation moves faster because security is embedded from the start
🌟 Trust becomes a competitive advantage
🌟 Risk conversations happen in the open, not as an afterthought
🌟 Everyone, not just the security team, sees themselves as responsible for protecting the business

Cybersecurity done well does not just protect value. It creates value.

How close is your organization to making cyber part of its DNA? What can I do to help you?
